The erection of the triple tower at Lõõtsa 8 has started and is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2013, enabling Technopolis Ülemiste to increase the capacity of available office space by ca 50%.

Gert Jostov, Chairman of the Board of Technopolis Ülemiste AS, said: “Over the next two years, the company plans to invest over 30 million euros into building the new triple tower, a fact that definitely makes us the greatest business environment developer in Estonia.“

“Today, about 3,500 people work in the Smart Business City, and by 2013 we have planned to increase this figure to about 6,000. Such a number of workers obligates us to provide various additional services besides the most customary ones to help save the workers’ time and the companies’ money. In 2011, we opened a kindergarten on the campus and in autumn 2012 we plan to open a sports club; we also intend to expand and rearrange the parking area and we are opening a direct route to the Tallinn Airport to make it even easier and faster to walk to the airport,“ Jostov added.

“In addition to these services we also offer catering, conference and cleaning services and the opportunity to use a personal secretary; we organise various events and the international network for start-up companies and investors; we have partnered with an international mentorship programme ¬¬– the Startup Wise Guys accelerator – that will open its doors in the Smart Business City in April. We wish to meet the requests of even the most demanding companies and people, and we are constantly expanding and improving our portfolio of available services,“ Jostov added.

Technopolis Ülemiste AS is the ‘Smart Business City’ located close to Tallinn Airport. More than 200,000 m2 of office space and hi-tech factories are being constructed in the business park. Its aim is to create an innovative, people-friendly working environment for knowledge-based companies. A total of 46,000 m2 of modern office space had been completed by the end of 2011.
